Defending the Indefensible

The problem with this scenario is that Harriet Miers is not in love with Nathan Hecht. She loves George W. Bush. Hence why she calls him the greatest Governor of Texas ever, the smartest man she ever met, etc. It's unfortunate for her that he's married, and less likely than his predecessor to give her a whirl in spite of that.

Very funny.

The nomination's a weird situation. The one thing I think I *can* say about it is, the fact that Bush nominated a woman shows both how far women have come and how far they still have to go.

Hispanic Clerk

Brutal, A3G, brutal.

That would be the longest note to request a nomination be withdrawn ever.

Withdraw Harriet Miers!

Sign the "Petition for the Withdrawal of the Nomination of Harriet Miers to the U.S. Supreme Court"! It's available here:

Cruel joke, indeed. I guess you can't believe everything you read on the Internets.

This was a cruel, cruel joke to play on those who see only headlines in their newsreaders without realizing what site the article is from.

Sigh. I actually believed for a moment.
