Up until now, The Harriet Miers Blog has been universally regarded as nothing more than a clever joke. For example, Professor Daniel J. Solove -- in an interesting post over at the new, buzz-generating Concurring Opinions blog* -- declared the Harriet Miers Blog to be a fake: "The Miers and Luttig blogs are quite funny because everybody knows they’re phony."
The reasoning behind dismissal of the Harriet Miers Blog was simple and straightforward. We all thought to ourselves: "This insanely pink blog has got to be fake! I mean, the giddy schoolgirl tone is simply ridiculous. All this gushing and oozing can't represent the voice of the real Harriet Miers!"
* Can anyone tell A3G if the breaking off of Concurring Opinions from PrawfsBlawg is due to some juicy, behind-the-scenes nastiness or intrigue -- the legal academic equivalent of bench-slappery?
Interestingly, when I Googled "You are the best governor ever", I got this news report.
What does it all mean? I'm frightened by the implications.

I have it on good authority that the Canadians behind the blog are responsible: apparently they insisted that the Americans write with an extra "u" in words like color and curiosity. Some of the Americans couldn't handle it anymore, while others cringed in the face of the mighty authority of the Canucks.
