Things have gotten ugly again for Article III Groupie in the office, so please forgive her for any blogging and email neglect in the days -- or weeks -- ahead. The timing is terrible, since there's just so much to blog about these days. But a girl's gotta make a living, and blogging hasn't been terribly remunerative!
For the time being, A3G has a quick law clerk hiring update for all you gunners out there. If you were hoping to land a Supreme Court clerkship with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg for October Term 2006, sorry, A3G has some bad news for you: it appears that RBG has hired.
Upon information and belief, the four Ginsburg clerks for OT 2006 are as follows:
1. Kate Andrias (Yale '04/Bleeding Reinhardt '04-'05)
2. Scott Hershovitz (Yale '04/W. Fletcher '04-'05)
3. Daphna Renan (Yale '04/Edwards '04-'05)
4. Arun Subramanian (Columbia '04/Jacobs '04-'05/G. Lynch '05-'06)
As A3G noted in announcing Justice Stevens's hires for OT 2006, "full-blown celebrity profiles of the OT 2006 Supreme Court clerks" will follow in due course, once hiring has been completed by all nine justices (including, quite possibly, SCOTUS nominee Judge John Roberts; speculation about how Justice Roberts might go about clerk-picking is available here).
As always, please email A3G with any corrections or additions to the information appearing above. And please email her if you have any clerk hiring news concerning any other justice, particularly Chief Justice Rehnquist (who was briefly hospitalized with a fever earlier this month). Toodles!
This must be the Scott Hershovitz who was a Rhodes Scholar, and who is editing an OUP book on Ronald Dworkin.
