Article III Groupie was noticing a surprising amount of traffic on Underneath Their Robes (UTR) for a lazy Saturday afternoon, but she didn't know what might be causing the upward spike in visits and page views. She then received this email from a reader:
SCORE! Your hottie contest, and John Roberts's 5th-place finish, was the answer to a question on "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" this morning.
How neat! A3G hasn't heard the National Public Radio (NPR) broadcast yet, but she looks forward to listening (and will post a link to it when it becomes available).
(Update: The audio clip is available here; scroll down to Round 3, second clip. It's quite funny, if A3G does say so herself! She particularly enjoyed the following quip: "My bachelor party was pretty tame -- I had only one judge!")
To any NPR listeners visiting this blog for the first time: welcome! To access information about Judge John G. Roberts's fifth-place finish in UTR's Superhotties of the Federal Judiciary contest, please click here (nominations) and here (results).
Article Three Groupie is thrilled about Judge Roberts's nomination to the Supreme Court -- not just because he'll make an excellent justice, but because his nomination has generated lots of great publicity for this blog. Since President Bush nominated judicial hottie Roberts to the Court, A3G's collection of media mentions has grown considerably. News media coverage of UTR -- including a recent shout-out on CNN -- can be accessed in the "UTR Press Book," located in the left-hand column of this blog.
Thanks for visiting!
"The People magazine of the federal judiciary"...Excellent!
